The return leg of the Africa World Cup Qualifier between Cameroon and Nigeria has ended in a 1-1 draw.

The draw saw Super Eagles claim the second spot behind Spain in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers unbeaten run record.

Moses Simon’s sent Nigeria in-front on the stroke of half hour but the host equalised from the spot after a an untidy tackle on a Lion by goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa with Vincent Aboubakar converting the resultant penalty.

The Nigerian senior team were tied with Italy (33) after thrashing the Indomitable Lions 4-0 in Uyo last Friday. Monday’s draw moves the Eagles one place clear of the Azzurris and 25 spots behind leaders Spain.
