Hurricane Harvey: Trump to donate $1m to flood victims

U.S. President, Donald Trump will donate $1 million to the victims affected by the hurricane harvey, in Houston, USA.

The White House press secretary, Sarah Sanders revealed this during a press briefing at the White House on Thursday.

She said, “He would like to join in the efforts that a lot of people we have seen across the country do,”adding that the donation will come from Trump’s “personal money”.

She added that the president has not decided when or where he will send the donation.

“He actually asked that I check with the folks in this room, since you are very good at research and have been doing a lot of reporting into the groups and organizations that are best and most effective in helping and providing aid, and he’d love some suggestions from the folks here and I’d be happy to take those,” she said.

According to Sarah, Trump had visited Corpus Christi and Austin on Tuesday and might visit the Houston area and Louisiana on Saturday.
