Eid Mubarak: WAEC holds despite Sallah holiday

The West African Examination Council (WAEC)has re-affirmed that irrespective of the Sallah celebrations, scheduled examinations will still hold.

The exam body disclosed that Agricultural Science and Woodwork examination papers in the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates will take place as planned on Monday, regardless of the public holiday.

The Head, Public Affairs Unit, Mr. Demianus Ojijeogu, made the disclosure while speaking with Punch on Thursday.

Ojijeogu said, the Alternative to Practical examination for Agricultural Science and Practical examination for Woodwork will hold at the stipulated centres.

According to him, “The examination will go on as scheduled. We are not cancelling the examination. Candidates across the participating countries have been notified and we expect them to be at the examination centres on Monday.’’
