Barcelona take legal action against Neymar

Spanish club, Barcelona, have taken legal action against their former Brazillian star player, Neymar for failing to fulfill his contract with them.

Neymar, who joined Paris Saint-Germain for a world record fee of €222million, earlier in the month, has left a vacuum in the Barca team which they are still struggling to fill.

Barcelona have now announced they are taking legal action against Neymar after alleging the Brazilian failed to fulfill his contract.

Neymar, has however made an impressive start to his time with the French club,scoring three times in his first two games including a brace in his last outing.

But a statement released by Barca on Tuesday,confirmed they were suing the forward for at least €8.5m.

Barca’s complaint relates to Neymar having signed a fresh deal until 2021 in October last year, with the club hoping to recoup his “renewal premium” as well as €8.5m in damages and a further 10 per cent in arrears.
