Another kidnappers’ den found in Lagos (Photos)

A new suspected kidnappers’ den was uncovered around a drainage channel located at the Ile Zik bus stop, along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway on Thursday, causing a large crowd to gather at the scene.

It was learnt that two “mentally-ill” persons and two others found around the spot were picked up by the police.

Boko Haram: 267 hospitals, clinics destroyed in Borno

The state commissioner of Health, Haruna Mshellia, has revealed that Boko Haram insurgent has destroyed 248 primary health care centres and 19 general hospitals in Borno State.

Mr. Mshellia, who revealed this during Borno NUJ Press Week, said many health workers in the state were killed while several others left.

According to him, “Many of our health workers were targets of the Boko Haram insurgents and innocent workers were killed in cold blood”.

Lagos: LASTMA commander, other officials arrested

The Zonal commander of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority in Agege, Akeem Badmos and five other officials were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly impounding a commercial bus allegedly owned by a top government official.

It was gathered that they were detained at the Oshodi office of the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit.
