Kanye West files lawsuit against Insurance company for $10million

The famous American rapper and producer, Kanye West, has filed a lawsuit against an insurance company, demanding $10m from them for not believing his mental breakdown which occurred last year.

Kanye, broke down during a concert on his Saint Pablo tour in November 2016 where he ranted about Jay-Z and what-not. Afterwards, the incident culminates the cancellation of the entire tour and a week at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital Center where he was treated for exhaustion.

It was learnt that the rapper was expecting to receive a multi-million dollar claim as a result of the cancelled tour, having paid thousands of dollars according to court documents filed against syndicates of the insurance company, Lloyd’s.

It was gathered that Kanye has not received a dime from the claim. He therefore, accused the insurance company of making him go exra miles to prove his mental breakdown.

Part of Kanye’s filing goes: “Nor have they provided anything approaching a coherent explanation about why they have not paid, or any indication if they will ever pay or even make a coverage decision, implying that Kanye’s use of marijuana may provide them with a basis to deny the claim and retain the hundreds of thousands of dollars in insurance premiums.”

Along with that, Kanye says he has remained under full time care and supervision of the doctor at the hospital, who swore in a testimony that Yeezy could not tour because of a “debilitating medical condition.”
