Radio presenter, others arraigned for killing 17-year-old boy
A radio presenter, Oriyomi Hamzat, was arraigned before a Magistrates’ court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday, for the alleged murder of a 17-year-old boy.
It was learnt that Hamzat was arrested by the police after the body of the victim was found in his car.
It was also learnt that the deceased was an orphan being raised in an unregistered orphanage home, allegedly belonging to the suspect.

Punch reports that Idowu Ibrahim, 27; Mohammed Bashir, 31; Taiwo Olaronke, 23; and Yusuff Ajisafe, 23 were also arraigned in connection with the murder.
The five suspects were therefore, arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and murder.

The prosecutor, Sunday Fatola, told the court that “Hamzat and others on July 21, 2017, at about 4am, in the Oremeji Agugu area of Ibadan, conspired together to commit murder”.
He explained that the suspects unlawfully caused the death of the victim by inflicting an injury on his head and body.
The magistrate, A. A. Adebisi, therefore, ordered that the accused be remanded in the Agodi Prison pending the release of legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
The matter was adjourned till September 5, 2017.
