Lady steals bag full of condoms in Lagos State

A young lady simply identified as Mary Johnson has been arrested and arraigned before a Lagos court for stealing a handbag full of condoms which she mistook for cash. The bag was reportedly stolen from a nightclub in Lagos State.

The incident occurred at Diamond Club, Allen Avenue in Ikeja, Lagos.

The 29-year-old lady was charged before a Lagos court and has been remanded in prison custody by the presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.O Layinka.

Florence Ahokpa whose bag was stolen, was said to have kept her hand bag while engaging in a discussion with an undisclosed person when the suspect reportedly stole it.

Soon after the talk, Florence came back for her bag but discovered it was missing which made her raise an alarm immediately. By that time, the suspect was making an attempt to leave the club house with the bag.

Further investigation shows that the stolen bag contained condoms, her phones and other personal effects.

The suspect was arraigned at the Ikeja Magistrates court. She however pleaded not guilty.

She was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.

She was remanded in prison custody pending when her bail condition is perfected.
