Four Men Arrested in Connection to Slay Queen’s Brutal Murder

The police in Dome-Kwabenya, a suburb of Accra have arrested four persons linked to the gruesome murder of the popular Instagram slay queen (DC Queen), with real name Lydia Ama Serwaa.

 

DC Queen, confirmed dead on Monday, was discovered with her tongue and vagina mutilated and dumped at the roadside, after attending an all night party at Just Torch Pub in Accra.

According to the police, the four suspects believed to be internet fraudsters, are James Opoku, Yussif Ahmed, Akwasi Adae as well as Muhammed Abdul-Sadeek who are currently under investigation in police custody.

DC Queen was widely known as a ‘party girl’ who gained social media attention by her raunchy snaps as well as posting several photos of herself at several parties.

Shortly after the news of her death surfaced on different online platforms, friends of Lydia took to Facebook to write heartfelt condolences, while others alleged men took her partying at a popular nightclub, of murdering the slay queen.

 

Some others condemned her for living a dangerous and careless life.

A friend of the deceased, Cleopatra Barbara Afya Akpablie said” DC Queen was only hustling.”

“She condemned those who criticised the victim and said that she would never have been on the streets making a living if she came from a good home.”

This is another warning for ladies going on dates with social media friends in indiscriminate places at odd hours.

The use of women for ritual killings has become rampant in Nigeria as well and several individuals and groups on social media keep warning ladies against hanging out with acquainted social media friends, especially without supervision or knowledge of family and close friends.

Ladies have also being warned to desist from social media prostitution, which some call “hustling” or “runs”.
