Agriculture is Profitable – University Lecturer

A lecturer at the Rivers State University (RSU), Dr Awotien George, Port Harcourt has encouraged unemployed youths in the country to optimally use the available opportunities in agriculture instead of staying idle.

Speaking with NAN in Port Harcourt on Sunday, Dr. George asserted that agricultural activities have become increasingly profitable because of the country’s economic situation.

The lecturer said any agricultural produce is now lucrative in the country.

He advised youths to stay away from armed robbery, kidnapping, Advanced Fee Fraud (419) and assassination among others which could destroy them.

George called on government at all levels to support farmers with soft loans, farm inputs and infrastructure such as motor-able roads to enable them evacuate their farm produce to the markets.
