We killed 20 kidnappers while rescuing Igbonla students – Lagos Commissioner of Police

Fatai Owoseni, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, on Friday said 20 kidnappers were killed in the process of rescue of kidnapped students of Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe.

The kidnapper where killed in a gun battle with the Marine Police.

PDP National Chairman, Makarfi Escapes Death

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), National Caretaker Committee, Senator Ahmed Makarfi on Friday escaped death when he was involved in a multiple car accident.

Mr Dayo Adeyeye, National Publicity Secretary of PDP revealed this to newsmen on Friday in Abuja.

Adeyeye said the vehicle conveying Makarfi, was at the early hour of Friday involved in a multiple collision with other vehicles along Abuja-Kaduna Highway.

Kidnapped Igbonla Model College Boys Rescued

Kidnapped students of the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe, have been released by their abductors.

The release was confirmed by Dolapo Badmos, public relations officer of the Nigeria police force, zone 2.

However, a source said the students, who were abducted on May 25, secured their freedom in Ondo state.
