President Buhari receives seven governors in London

President Muhammadu Buhari today, 26 July received a delegation of seven governors at Abuja house in London.

President Buhari has spent 80 days in London, United Kingdom seeking medical treatment.

Naija News is yet to get details of the President’s meeting with the governors.

The governors who visited the president are Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo), Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom) and Kashim Shettima (Borno).

Custom seize 140 snakes, hairy frogs and other poisonous animals smuggled into Nigeria

The Nigeria Customs Service on Wednesday seized three shipment containing 140 species of snakes, hairy frogs and 660 other animals imported into Nigeria from Cameroon.

The containers imported into Nigeria via a Cameroonian vessel, MV Flesh, through the Calabar waterways to the National Inland Waterways Authority

3 soldiers convicted to 56 years for illegal possession of arms

The Nigerian Army component of Operation Lafiya Dole, 7 Division, has sentenced three soldiers to jail for illegal possession of arms and ammunition yesterday in Maiduguri.

Vanguard reports that the General Court-Martial that tried the soldiers announced a jail term of 23 years for two of the soldiers, while the third was sentenced to 10 years.
