Ibadan Polytechnic Graduate Congratulated for Bagging a First Class in UK

The Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide Oyo State Council (YCYW) has joined the people of Ido Local Government and the Polytechnic of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State to celebrate the exceptional success of Sodiq Olawale Wahab Oladejo.

Oladejo graduated with First class honours from the Department of Electrical and Electronics, University of Liverpool, United Kingdom on Friday, 21st June, 2017.

The congratulatory message was released on Sunday in a statetment signed by the Publicity Secretary, Sheriff Adetola Adeniji of the Council, expressing the need to celebrate the Exceptional Student’s stride.

According to the council, “It was imperative that we celebrate this young talent which went to the shore of Uk to imprint the potential of Ido LG, Oyo state and Nigeria contrary to the bad image portrayed by some youths. As an institution saddled with the responsibility of restoring the face of Yoruba Youths worldwide, we are proud of Sodiq Wahab Oladejo.”

The council has however advised Oladejo to use his acquired knowledge to contribute to the development of Nigeria.

“However, we imploy Sodiq Olawale Oladejo who attended Abadina College at University of Ibadan and the reputable Polytechnic of Ibadan in 2013 before he later got admitted to University of Liverpool to use the skills and knowledge earned from the Uk to contribute to the transformation of growth and development in Oyo State and be an advocate of gainful participation activities by Youths.”

“We do hope as Sodiq’s landmark success rekindles the hope in our teaming youths across the globe. We will appeal to the authorities of “The polytechnic Ibadan, Ido Local Government and Oyo State Government to acknowledge the giant stride of Sodiq Oladejo.”
