Father and Son Boko Haram Terrorists Arrested By Soldiers During Patrol

Four Boko Haram terrorist including a father and his son were arrested on Monday 24th July 2017, by troops of 233 Battalion, 27 Task Force Brigade of Operation LAFIYA DOLE.

The troops with the support of the vigilantes on routine patrol arrested the 4 fleeing Boko Haram terrorists at Kurnari village and Nayinawa, outskirts of Damaturu, Yobe State.

Two Boko Haram confirmed escaping Boko Haram terrorists, Bukar Waziri, aged 25 years and Mammade Lawan, aged 20 years, were from Buk, while father and son, Muhammadu Damina, aged 40 years and Isah Muhammadu aged 15 years, were from Talala.

When they were interrogated they claimed that they were fleeing from the terrorists’ hideout at Talala and Buk in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State because of the unbearable military’s onslaughts and bombardments on their various locations.

In a related development, troops of 33 Brigade Nigerian Army, on Operation FOREST KUNAMA II, on Sunday 23rd July 2017, following a tip off, at about 10.20pm, arrested one Salisu Ibrahim, an armed robbery suspect along Bauchi-Gombe road.

The terrorists and armed robbery suspects are being further investigated.
