After serving nine years of his 33-year jail sentence, OJ Simpson has been granted release by a parole committee in Nevada.
The four-person committee concluded that OJ was qualified for parole and is of not at risk of committing any offence.
OJ speaking at the hearing said, “I’ve done my time…. “I’ve done it as well and as respectfully as I think anyone can”.
The former NFL star was serving a 33-year sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping in Las Vegas in 2007.

OJ has been projected to be released in October.
He expressed how diligently he served nine years of his 33-year jail term while stating his apologies.
“I’ve spent nine years making no excuses about anything. I am sorry that things turned out the way they did. I had no intent to commit a crime.”
