EFCC Interrogates Top Adamawa Government officials

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, are interrogating four top officials of Adamawa State government for alleged corruption.

Sources disclosed that the EFCC operatives moved into the state from their Zonal office in Gombe State to discharge their duties since Wednesday last week, interrogating the officials.

Vanguard reports that sources at Government House, Yola, who pleaded anonymity said yesterday, that the EFCC operatives were acting on a petition written against some of the officials for alleged multi-million Naira contract scam in some major contracts undertaken by the present administration in the state.

The sources added that after the investigation by the EFCC operatives, the suspects were granted bail and asked to report to the EFCC zonal office in Gombe this week.
A source at the EFCC office in Gombe also said their operatives were still in Adamawa State for official duties.
