The newly elected National Sports Federations boards have been scheduled to be inaugurated on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 2.00 p.m. prompt at the VIP Lounge, Package A, National Stadium Complex Abuja.

The inauguration to be presided over by the Minister of Youth and Sports Barrister Solomon Dalung which was previously slated for July 13, 2017, had to be re-scheduled due to the controversies that brewed as a result of the the June 13 elections of some sports federations.

In a statement, Director of press and public affairs, Tolu Makinde disclosed that the inauguration signals the official commencement  of democratisation of the electoral process in the national sports federations.

The occasion will witness the inauguration of a total of 33 sports federations.
