Nigerian actor and comedian, Nkem Owoh, also known as Osuofia says he didn’t succeed when he tried to organise an award ceremony with some people in the industry.

The actor disclosed this while speaking at the 13th edition of the African Movie Academy Award (AMAA) held on Saturday night at the Convention Hall of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

He is best known for his lead role in the 2003 movie, Osuofia in London, which earned him the nickname, Osuofia.

Owoh won his first AMAA in 2008, out of nine awards won by Nigeria.

The actor, delivering his acceptance speech after he was presented with a lifetime achievement award appreciated the organisers of AMAA awards for the hard work they have been putting into the event.

He said it’s not easy to have a 13th edition as he decided to have something like this few years back with some people in the industry but failed.

“I want to appreciate Peace for sustaining this award to this level, if you think I am wrong go and try like we did.
