Katsina Police Detain Journalist Over Alleged Facebook Posts
Katsina State police has on Saturday night apprehended a journalist, Danjuma Katsina, for having allegedly posted content sensitive to a newly-elected member of the House of Representatives from the state, Mansur Mashi.
According to Punch, police disclosed that Mashi officially lodged a complaint about the Facebook postings to the police.
Danjuma had however been released on Sunday afternoon sequel to the state police commissioner commands, Mr. Usman Abdullahi, and intervention from various personalities in the state.

Speaking to the Northern City News, Danjuma explained that visited the police command on Saturday night as requested by the police and was detained overnight. He then confirmed that he had been releases, while noting that the issue has been settled.
However the state police command Public Relations Officer, DSP Gambo Isah, refuted that the police detained Danjuma, emphasising that the journalist was only invited for questioning.
