Assassins attack senator Ovie Omo-Agege, 2 injured

Two people have sustained serious injuries after an attack by armed youths on Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, representing Delta Central at the National Assembly, during an empowerment programme in Effurun, Uvwie council area of Delta State.

Senator Omo-Agege was attacked alongside his wife and some top members of the All Progressives Congress.

He was attacked on Saturday, July 15, when he visited the Effurun Market for his constituency empowerment programme in Effurun, Ekpan and Ugberikoko areas of Uvwie.


Boko Haram uses 12-years-old boy for suicide attack

A 12 year-old Fulani cattle breeder is dead after a being strapped with a bomb at Muna Delti area of Jere Local Government Council of Borno State on Saturday, July 15.

According to a witness, Grema Bana, the incident occurred at about 4:45 PM, at one of the pastoralist hamlets in the area.

Bana said that the young boy and his brother were coming back home home after taking out the cattle to a nearby forest for grazing.
