Tragic: Rising comedian mistaken for badoo member, two others burnt to death in Lagos

Chinedu Paul, a rising comedian was reportedly mistaken for a member of the Badoo gang in Ikorodu, Lagos and as a result lynched by a mob.

Eyewitnesses said Chinedu Paul was heading back from a show when his car broke down and was held by the mob. It was further revealed that Chinedu’s car broke down at Odogunyan area of recent, and then he went at midnight with two others, to tow his car from the Odogunyan area, when they were accosted by an angry mob.

The mob is said to have presumed he was a member of the Badoo gang because he had engine oil in his car and something that looked like a grinding stone – items the gang members use in killing their victims.

He and two others were immediately burnt to death.
