Icon, OJB Jezreel Lives On.

June 14, 2016, marked the end of the road for veteran musician/producer OJB Jezreel. He died aged 49 following a long-term battle with kidney disease. Jezreel suffered from a kidney ailment in 2013 and had a successful kidney transplant within the same year after friends and artists in the music industry rallied round to make finances available for the needed operation but sadly, he passed on a month to his 50th birthday.

The late music producer OJB Jezreel was born this day July 4, 1966 and would have been 51 today if death had not snatched him away.

The late singer had great influence on a number of hits and successful careers of numerous musicians including Ruggedman, Wizkid, D’banj, 2face Idibia, Jazzman Olofin, and many others.

His profile as a producer continued to rise with further credit for work on Baba Dee’s hit single ‘Governor’s Daughter’ and Daddy Showkey’s first album.

OJB is survived by three wives, June, Korede, Mabel and eight children.

The memory of the legendary Nigerian music icon lives on.
