June 12 Democracy Day Activities - How FG Chooses To Honour MKO Abiola

Since your demise, Nigerians are worse off economically, socially and politically. Nigerians are now facing abject poverty. Most essential commodities are out of reach of the masses, hardly can Nigerians afford one square meal a day.

Our country is at the brink of collapse. Tribal warlords are now beating the drums of secession.

Biafra agitation have suddenly emerged, so also Arewa and Niger Delta Republics. Anti democratic forces have taken over our political structures looting all available resources and wealth of the Nation.

The wealth of the Nation is now firmly in the hands of very few people while the masses are continuously wallowing in abject poverty.

Electricity is no more available whilst the tariff is astronomically high. Our hospitals and schools are now mere shadows and in very poor state.

On the political platforms there is no longer Democracy but Lootocracy. Our politicians now complete in looting and plundering our resources. No more service to the people. The poor masses are now completely neglected to their fate. Nigeria is in dire need of visionary leadership more than ever before.

Unemployment of our youths is completely out of control as our youths now roam our streets in dear of gainful employment whilst our wealthy few parade hoards of private
luxury jets and squander our common wealth in throwing lavish parties in Dubai ,South Africa etc.

Whilst developed Nations boast of improved technology and scientific breakthroughs, Nigeria is still battling with epileptic electricity, bad roads, poor potable water, infrastructure and maintenance problems.
You won the freest and fairest election ever conducted in Nigeria but denied victory. The ideals you fought for are still very far from realisation.
