It is double tragedy for Tony Anenih, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Edo state has he has lost a wife and son within the space of one month.

The veteran politician lost Eugene, one of his sons, at a time when he is still grieving ove the death of his wife.

On April 15, Patricia, his second wife aged 74, died after a protracted illness.

Plans were still in place for her burial when reports filtered in that Eugene had died at a club in Lagos.

Details of Eugene’s death are still sketchy.

The deceased was the chief executive officer of Nova Finance and Securities Ltd.

In May 2016, there were rumours that the politician had died of a cancer-related ailment in a London hospital.

“If I am dead, will I be talking to you? I am in London; I am alive and enjoying myself,” he had said.

“I am not going to issue any press release to debunk the rumour.
