A female passenger has given birth aboard  a Turkish Airlines flight from Guinea to Burkina Faso

The passenger named Nafi Diaby, 28-week-old pregnant traveler flying with Turkish Airlines’ TK538 Conakry (Guinea)-Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) flight, was suffering child-birth pains and was promptly attended to by the cabin crew who assisted during the flight.

The airline in a statement described the development as an uncommon event which excited all the passengers on board the flight.

After the smooth landing of Boeing B737-900 type aircraft to the Ouagadougou Airport, the mother Nafi Diaby and her newborn baby girl were taken to the hospital in order to be kept under observation for a while.

The statement said Turkish Airlines’ Ouagadougou station officials reported that the baby and the mother currently do not have any health problems.

The officials, it added, are still closely taking care of the mother and the newborn baby who has been named as “Kadiju”, during their stay at hospital.
