“Just go, you are finished” – Arsenal fans turn against Wenger

Arsenal fans on Twitter are angry with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger for placing Alexis Sanchez on the bench in the clash against Liverpool on Saturday, March 4.

While some clamoured for the French manager to resign or be sacked, others want the Wenger who has spent 21 years with the club to leave at the end of the current season.
There were reports that the 67-year-old tactician is having a fisticuff with Sanchez who queried his tactics after they lost 5 – 1 to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League, and Wenger vowed not to play him again.

In their fixture against Liverpool, Wenger opted for Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck to spearhead the attack, condemning Sanchez to the bench; and Arsenal went two goals down in the first 45 minutes.

Sanchez replaced Coquelin at the start of the second half and the decision instantly paid off for the Gunners when the Chilean assisted Danny Welbeck to pull one back.

However his impact was not enough as Georgio Wijnaldum scored in the 90th minute to give Liverpool a 3 – 1 victory.
