Former Super Eagles Coach, Samson Siasia may soon be named the coach of Orlando Pirates Premier Soccer League in South Africa.

Orlando Pirates club chairman Irvin Khoza has revealed that they will announce a new head coach next week Monday but he kept a sealed lips on the identity on the soon to be unveiled.

The Buccaneers have been searching for a new head coach since late last year with the team currently struggling in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

Khoza disclosed that they could have appointed a new coach last month – but they could not do so as they were prohibited by a buy-out clause.

“Next week Monday we will be announcing a new coach. We were restricted to do so in January by prohibitive Buy-out clauses,” Khoza told the media.

“It’s not easy to find a coach for the Club, and even less so when people you are looking for are held by contract obligations,” he added.

“The coach we were looking for, that we promised to announce in January is now available in May. We won’t wait that long”

With the decision not to wait that long, Pirates may be considering Siasia or the other tonnes of applicants for the job.

Siasia is presently out of work, with his last job being with the Nigeria U23 side, which he led to a bronze medal finish at the Rio Olympic Games last year.
