Your one year in office has caused us hardship, agony and impoverishment, Kogi APC tells Bello

They alledged that Bello’s one year in office has brought unprecedented hardship, agony, impoverishment to the people of the state.

Senator Melaye said,” we, the political leaders of Kogi State and the APC stakeholders have resolved unequivocally to give 4 weeks ultimatum to Governor Yahaya Bello to reconcile the on-going staff audit in the state with the realities on the ground, pay our civil servants, the pensioners and others, all their entitlements for the past one year because the 30 billion bail out fund is primarily meant for those purposes, while part of the 11.2 billion Naira Paris Club refund was also aimed at ameliorating the suffering of our people.

“Any attempt for Yahaya Bello to think otherwise in this regard, after four  weeks from today will be met with stiff resistance and peaceful revolution across the 21 local government councils. We urge our civil servants to be patient and be very law abiding till the next four weeks.

“We also call on the state government to re-order the priorities of state in line with the needs and aspirations of our people as the solar street light, the Revenue House and SDG Office being celebrated for 1 year in office for example, have no tangible value and cannot put food on the table of our people. ”

Present at the briefing which took place at the Kano Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja were Senators Abubakar Abdulrahman, Nicholas Ugbane; Mohammed Ohiare; Alex kadiri; serving and former members of the House of Representatives; State House of Assembly members ;  State APC Chairman, Haddy Ametuo who led all the  34 members of the state executive council, among others.
