NaijaNews.com reported on Wednesday, the interest in John Obi Mikel by Chinese Super League club, Tianjin Teda, who are willing to pay the midfielder N4.4bn (€9m) a year for three years.

If he signs with the Chinese outfit, it means he will earn N13.3bn for the three duration of the contract.
At that rate, Mikel will be earning a massive N371.2million monthly, N92.8million every week and N13.2million every day.

That will also means the 29-year old will be paid N552k for every hour of the deal, and over N9k every minute he remains a Tianjin Teda player.

Mikel is out of favour at present club Chelsea, and with his deal expiring in the summer, he has been the subject of interest from several clubs within and outside Europe.

La Liga side Valencia have been strongly linked with the midfielder, so also is Ligue 1 club Marseille, but reports have also claimed Mikel’s wage demands means no deal has been struck with either club.

The Nigeria international currently earns N40.6million (£70,000) a week at Chelsea, a figure neither Valencia nor Marseille are willing match but according to tuttomercatoweb.com, Tianin Teda are offering Mikel a three-year contract worth €9million a year.

As a result, it is increasingly looking like his next destination will be China, where clubs have already splashed megabucks to sign some of the world’s finest names.
