2023: Obi, Baba-Ahmed Present As LP Begins Campaign In Jos

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, on Wednesday, attended the flag-off of the party’s campaign in Jos, the Plateau capital.

Naija News reports that the LP began its campaign with a mega rally at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium in Jos.

Present at the rally includes the party’s Vice Presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, the National Chairman of the party, Julius Abure and some stakeholders.

Peter Obi Reacts To 8th National Grid Collapse, Assures Nigerians Of Robust Power If Elected

The former Governor of Anambra State has expressed his concerns over the persistent breakdown of Nigeria’s electricity power generation grids.

In a post via his verified Twitter account today, the former Governor of Anambra State said if elected Nigeria’s president in the coming 2023 elections, his administration will ensure a robust improvement in power generation.

According to him, the repeated collapse of the national grid would be a thing of the past under his administration.

Obi, who described the latest national grid collapse as disturbing, said his team has a strategic plan to progressively scale up power generation and ensure liberalisation of the transmission infrastructure in the country, to ensure that Nigerians enjoy adequate and stable power supply from 2023 onwards.

The presidential hopeful said power remains a top priority on his agenda as a president.
