The Senator representing Enugu East in the National Assembly, Chimaroke Nnamani has spoken out amidst the controversy that has trailed his ‘political romance’ with the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naija News recalls that eyebrows were raised when it was discovered that a chieftain of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Governor of Enugu State, Sen. Chimaroke Nnamani has been appointed into the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.

The serving lawmaker’s name appeared in a list released on Friday, where he was listed as one of the members of the Local Government Directorate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

First the APC in its immediate reaction said the listing was an error but hours later, the ruling party declared the PDP Senator is indeed working for its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Amidst the ongoing political drama, a question was posed on Tuesday to the lawmaker by a Twitter user identified as Henry Shield about his political loyalty.

Nnamani was asked directly if he was working for Tinubu.

However, in response, the former Governor said he is a PDP Senator, loyal to the party and campaigning for the same party.
