Tinubu Camp Condemns Reactions Trailing Shettima’s Outfit At NBA

One of the spokesmen of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, has slammed those mocking the outfit of the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kashim Shettima, at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual conference held in Lagos.

Naija News reports that the NBA annual conference was held yesterday at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Shettima, like other top politicians and company heads, was present at the event to represent the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

However, the dress style of the former governor of Borno state was rather unusual and had stirred reactions.

Some Nigerians have created a trend called #ShettimaChallenge, with images of several of them donning various sizes of suit with a red tie, and pairs of gym shoes across Nigerian twitter to mock the APC chieftain over his outfit.

Reacting to the trend on Facebook, Onanuga condemned critics, stating that, “the people who derided Senator Kashim Shettima, the APC vice-presidential candidate at the NBA conference on Monday and unleashed their Twitter dogs against him, deserve our pity.

“They are not civilized, they are not exposed and need to be taken out to see the world, properly. Good afternoon.”
