Barcelona feminine star, Assisat Oshoala has gotten her fans worried after making a depressive comment on social media.

Naija News understands that the Super Falcons player has been in incredible form setting brilliant records with the Spanish club since she joined in 2019.

The 27-year-old footballer had a spell in China years ago and was top scorer in the 2017 Superleague before her new ground.

Oshola, Naija News recalls joined FC Barcelona feminine on loan from Chinese club Dalian Quanjian and was presented as a Barca player on 31 January 2019.

Despite recent injuries, the striker has created big moments with Barca since she joined.

Oshoala, however, on Friday stirred up reactions and fears after tweeting that she was “tired of trying”.

The Nigerian player refused to speak further on what the problem is and has deleted her post after a series of reactions.

No one could yet tell what the player is going through, but Oshoala had lost her mother last year and recently recovered from an injury.

Oshola’s ‘depressive’ post is, however, coming days after making 100 appearances for Barcelona, out of which she scored 79 goals.

Naija News understands that Oshoala is also the league’s top scorer this season with 18 goals despite injury problems and playing just about 50% of possible minutes.

She is currently the 6th highest scorer in the club’s history, records revealed.

Oshoala made her landmark 100 appearances for the Spanish giants against Real Sociedad, the game in which she scored twice in their 9-1 demolition at the San Sebastian.

Meanwhile, former Nigerian International, Kingsley Obiekwu has appreciated Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, for giving him N2 million as a gift.

Naija News had reported that financial struggles forced the Olympics player to become a commercial transporter plying between Enugu and Awka.

Obiekwu in an earlier interview said he went into the commercial transport business to complement his earnings from his coaching job and to sustain his family.

The former defender attributed his difficulties to debts owed him by several clubs, including Senator Ifeanyi Uba, owner of FC Ifeanyi Uba, which runs into N6 million cumulatively.

The dwindling fortunes of the former player elicited reactions from Nigerians including Musa who made a cash donation of N2 million to the Delta-born defender, Naija News reports.
