Rivers: Former Lawmaker, Chidi Lloyd Dumps APC For PDP (Photos)

Hon. Chidi Lloyd, the former Majority Leader of the House of Assembly in Rivers State has defeated from the All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party.

Recall that the lawmaker was the Director-General of the Tonye Cole Campaign Organisation in the 2019 Rivers State Governorship election.

He was received by top members of the party in Rivers State led by Chief Sergeant Awuse and the chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, High Chief Tom Aliezi.

The governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike with his Chief of Staff, Engr. Emeka Woke and the PDP state chairman, Amb. Desmond Akawor also visited Hon. Lloyd in his home town Akpabu.

Lloyd who stated the reason for dumping APC said: “Am leaving a party where there’s no reward for hard work, no matter your sacrifice, loyalty, and commitment, the leader doesn’t care.”

“I cannot continue to work while those sitting at their comfort zone comes up to eat with juicy package.”

“People threatened to kill me on a daily basis, my family at risk and danger just for me to defend the leader, yet, no appreciation. I almost lost my life, almost commit what I daily pray against to defend a man whose interest is in himself and those he feels are more ok to him. Now that am leaving, let me see my replacement.”

“I apologize to Magnus Abe and his die-hard supporters, I see reason with them why they stand on justice but unfortunately for them, they are fall from achieving, though I can’t conclude hence God holds the future.”

“Please my esteem supporters, we have a stake as the ball keeps rolling. Am a politician, I know my time, I understand the game, so no one who is more a betrayer will call me a betrayer. Ask them why is APC dying while they claim to be a leader?”

“I will reply whoever says he’s a leader while others who oppose him are betrayers. I will speak up soon but for now, know that am out of the mess” Hon. Dr. Chidi Lloyd said while addressing his supporters in his hometown Akpabu.”
