Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly as D’banj, has taken to the social media to narrate how he was traumatized for more than twenty-one-months following the death of his child.

It could be recalled that in June 2018, D’Banj announced the death of his son who died one month after celebrating his first birthday.

Naija News understands that D’banj’s child, Daniel Oyebanjo III got drowned in a swimming pool at their house and died.

On the early hour of Saturday, March 78, the singer took to his Instagram page to post heartfelt words, so motivational and also pitiful on how for the first time in 21 months he sleeps in his room at his own house since the death of his son Daniel.

D’banj noted that the pain was never as easy as he thought he could let go of as the memory keeps refreshing daily.

According to him, he used the post to encourage people at this time of the global pandemic and as well to help some persons who might be going through hard times understands that tomorrow can be a better day for them.

He wrote; “For the first time in 21 months, I slept in my room. I thought it would be easier but the memories are so fresh and although my family and I have been through so much in this time, I woke up this morning with a grateful heart knowing that I can be a source of visible hope to anyone going through a hard time due to this pandemic or any personal issue.. Just know that tomorrow will be better and you can turn your pain into motivation. Stay strong.”
