Kano Emirate: No Court Order Stopped Investigation- Anti-Corruption Agency

Kano state Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission says there is no court order stopping it from investigating the alleged mismanaging suspected in the Kano Emirate Fund.

Naija News understands that this was made known in a  statement issued by the Commission Chairman, Muhuyi Magaji Rimi Gado on Monday, June 17.

The statement noted that the commission remains a law-abiding organization and will always operate within the ambit of law and respect court orders.

Although there is a court order restraining the commission from executing a warrant of arrest on three Emirate Council staff, the statement noted that the commission is obeying by maintaining status quo.

The statement noted that no court of law is empowered to stop a statutory agency from performing their statutory responsibility.
