Nigerian Senate promises to implement 2014 National Health Act

The Nigerian Senate has disclosed plans to implement the 2014 National Health Act, particularly the one percent of the consolidation fund.

The Act states that one percent of the consolidation fund be set aside for health.

However, the stipulation of the act was excluded in the proposed 2018 budget recently submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari to the Senate for consideration and approval.
